In the thirties of the 19th century, when it began a new period in the development of the city, on the initiative of Prince Milos Obrenovic, on the left bank of the Kolubara began to develop a new, commercial and craft quarter, as the European parallels oriental Tešnjar, today Knez Milos Street. Raising the shops and restaurants, craft shops, a hotel and then Sekulic and the Grand Street is increasingly gained in its importance and became the core of the city life, but also the further development of Valjevo.
Today Prince Miloš Street retained much of its old importance (there is a number of shops and cafes), but it is also a stage for many cultural and artistic events.
Knez Milos Street is part of today's city of Valjevo and extends along the left bank of the Kolubara.
