The Botanical Garden is located in an open space, which includes about 300 domestic, European and exotic species of trees and shrubs. The Garden has the status of Monument of Nature category II and is protected as a Monument of Culture. The botanical garden is a greenhouse (of about 500 m²) that was built in 1892 and, at that time, it was one of the largest and most beautiful in this part of Europe. Around 1,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants are grown in its area.
The Botanical Garden is open to visitors from 9 am to 7 pm.
