Tour will be held from the 19th to the 21nd of June on the route 850 km long, divided into 6 stages from Pozarevac, over Krusevac, Priboj, Pale (BiH), Ruma to Belgrade, where the finish line will be in front of Unknown hero monument on Avala mountain.
This year Tour will be driven under slogan “On the liberation path of our ancestors” as part of celebration of 100 years from start of the First World War (1914 – 2014). One more reason for celebration is that this year Tour celebrate its’ 75th anniversary.
Tour's route will be passing by numerous historical monuments from the First World War and trough landscapes where some of the biggest battles took place.
Last year's title will be defended by Ivan Stevic, who will ride for Romanian Tushnad. He will be caring No1 in caravan consisted of 125 cyclist from 25 countries. Each team will be having 5 riders, because this year organizers got more than 50 applications and they have decided to accept 25 but with this reduction.
Tour will start with lap around Pozarevac to Veliko Gradishte I Turije. Than it will continue from Pozarevac to Krusevac. The longest stage will be between Krusevac and Priboj, over Ivanjica in total distance of 192 km. After Priboj, Tour will move toward Pale (BiH) and cyclist will be at the highest point of this route on 1.700 m high mountain of Sjemec and Romanija. After transferring caravan from Pale to Milici, Tour will continue for Ruma. Last stage will be from Ruma to Belgrade in length of 82 km. But this stage will be big challenge for cyclist because of rise toward Avala mountain, where it will be 54. Tour de Serbia finish line. This stage is for mountain riders but also an opportunity for sprinters.
Team's title will defend Norway team “Motiv pro”. From Denmark we will be able to see Stefan Shumaher, winner of 2012 Tour de Serbie, ridding for “Christina watches”. Beside these teams there will be teams from France “A.C.H.”, Great Britain “KTM”, Russia “Itera Katyusha”, Greece “Kastro”, Italy “MG K Vis”, USA “CMI”, Netherland “Park hotel”, Bulgaria “Hemus 1896”, Japan “Vini Fantini Nippo”, Hungary “Utensilnord ORA 24”, Argentina “Start”, Czech Republic “Author”, Ukraine “Amore Vita”, Germany “LKT Bradnerburg”, Lithuania “Alfa Baltic”, Poland “BDC Marcpol”, Kazakhstan “Astana”, Turkey “Brisaspor” Austria “Vorarlberg”, teams from Algeria, BiH, Moldavia, Ecuador and 3 teams from Serbia. Marko Procikevic will be Serbia International commissioner for doping control.
